Elks Club, Watertown, NY

Picture
This is a great venue - it's decorated nicely for the holidays, and has two HUGE coat closets out in the entry (a must for an upstate NY winter wedding).  It also has plenty of room for my escort card trees, and a six stall oversized bathroom for both males and females.  It's one of my pet peeves to go to a wedding without ample bathrooms!

We are going to have a sweetheart table, our bridal party to have their own round table, and then extending in 6 top rounds from there.  The venue can hold 300, our guest list is at about 150.  By the time we add in all the christmas trees and such though, it should be very cozy!

Chair Covers

Picture
We are doing white chair covers, with black sashes and a silver snowflake hanging off the back. There will be silver and black chargers on the table with alternate napkin colors.  The tableclothes will all be white, and there will be black diamonds in the center of the table under the mirrors.  The sweet heart table is going to be all white - white napkins, chair sashes, etc with silver chargers and white napkins.

Centerpieces

Picture
This is a mock up - both the vase and the branches will be lit.  They will sit on a round mirror with oil lit candles, 3 pinecones, and "diamond ice". All of the pinecones are going to be flocked (we have over 200 pinecones that only took about 2 hours to flcok with joint compound).  We found the spray on snow caused the pinecones to close up.

We are making all of the "iced branches" and renting the pearl strands.  The branches are a huge DIY project

Sparkler Send Off

Picture
We're placing 20" sparklers in the large wine glass, with personalized matches in the brandy glass.  Our calligrapher is also making a sign for the sparkler send off.

we had the staff put the kisses out after dinner so there would be some left at the time of the send off!

Cake Inspiration

We'd like ours square like this

my Dad has been replicating this sleigh cake stand and has spent over 80 hours working on it so far!

Our actual wedding cake - chmapagne cake with raspberry creme brulee filling, butter cream frosting and marshamallow fondant. One layer was white chocolate lemon with creme brulee filling

Toasting flutes

engraving up close, mine is the left one, and R's is on the right. They are the park avenue flutes, from Things Remembered. They were a gift from a close friend before the wedding, who is also my MUA

Bar Arrangements

Picture
There are two of these, one for each side of the bar.  Another DIY combo here.  The branches with feathers used to be this nasty pink color (think FL condo with flamingos out front pink).  I covered the feathers with saran wrap and sprayed them silver.  The vases will be lit with flickering LED tea lights.

Favors

Round labels for cookies, the kissing snowman photo with our names is the labels for the kisses
We are doing a large margarita glass full of hershey kisses with labels on the sparkler send off table, and then having individual snowflake cookies at each place setting with matching labels.
